Browne Art is a new gallery model, built around the idea that strong artists and informed collectors develop in tandem in an engaged art community. Through ambitious exhibitions by local, national, and international artists, and intentional educational programming, Browne Art acts as a catalyst within the arts ecosystem in St Petersburg and beyond.
Vision
Creative production, collecting, patronage, and critique are interconnected expressions of a healthy society. Browne Art therefore sees the gallery as an active participant in cultivating collectors through educational experiences that sharpen discernment and build confidence, while supporting artists through collaboration, critical dialogue, and professional guidance toward sustainable careers.
This hybrid arts model is especially relevant in St. Petersburg, where the cultural landscape is rapidly evolving and new collectors, residents, artists, and institutions are converging with increasing frequency. Browne Art aims to help shape that growth by strengthening relationships among artists, collectors, institutions, and the wider community—and by creating a culture in which serious art can be encountered, discussed, supported, and collected.

Alongside primary-market representation and the placement of artwork in private and corporate collections, Browne Art supports emerging artists through education, professional development, and special projects. The Emerging Arts Fund helps to make these non-commercial initiatives possible.

History
Over the last two decades, Jovian Browne has realized exhibitions, educational programs, and cultural projects in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Berlin, and Mexico. In 2019, she founded Browne Art, bringing her curatorial projects and collector advisory under one umbrella.
Browne Art previously operated Roma Projects, a brick-and-mortar gallery in Brooklyn that closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. In March 2026, Browne Art opened its current gallery at Station House in downtown St. Petersburg. The new gallery represents both a continuation and an evolution of Browne’s practice: a permanent home for exhibitions, education, artist development, and collector engagement.
